Set out - to see the world, the guys and I you know
We went for it all like the good old days
Hey they said we went to far
When some local cat, in some town in Iraq
Well they, they took us for a ride

Now I'm sweatin through the nights babe
screamin in the darkness
poundin at the stone walls, but these bars just remind us
that there is no getting out of here

And it's that cold stone that chills the bone
and God knows that we're all alone - well, so far from home
And I don't know who - and I don't know why
I don't know where, but we gotta get outta here
Gotta break out of here

Now I'm sweatin through the nights babe
screamin in the darkness
poundin at the stone walls but these bars just remind us
that there is no getting out of here -
there's no getting out of here

"Living Inside Your Love" (2:53)    Sloan/Libera

What  can  you  say  about "Mr. Sloan".   I  was  an
"AM Baby"  combined with an  upbringing   based
on  my  dad's favorites;   Sinatra,    Andy Williams,
Sergio Mendes,   Soundtrack   to   "A  Man  and  a
Woman",   etc.....    If   it   were  not for Mr. Sloan,  I
would not  have discovered  Jimmie  and  ROCK!
It was through Randy's  unbelievable  talent   that
I   too  could   actually listen   and  dig the  MUSIC
(you know,  what  the  singer/lyricist  would  call  -
back up).  There   was   "Spoon Fed",  "EXP"  and
"Strut".    We   were   not    the   original    Glimmer
Twins <no>, but we had a little shine about us.

I showed up at the audition in my Texaco work
shirt and no doubt smelled  of  a  multitude  of
petroleum  products.    Soon   I   was   singing
Robin Trower (who's that?!),  but  "Too Rolling
Stone"  was kinda cool.   I  got  the gig and we
proceeded to practice in our  exclusive studio,
yet we never performed  -  Oh,  that's  where  I
met  Randy (the Alpha musician).   And  when
he  bailed  up  to  a  place  called  Washington
State,  I was soon to follow. It was with $600 a
one-way  airline  ticket,  a
Christmas  present
suitcase
and  high school partymate that I bid
farewell to California.   It  was  1979 and I was
19 years old.

"Shine"
(1:59)

Sloan/Libera
The sun rose this morning and kissed the clouds goodbye
So why don't you try your smile, see you've had your cry yeah
All I want to do is shine - I'm doing it all the time
and so I'm hoping you don't mind - cuz I'm doing it all for you - doing it all for you -

And some times it's not so easy - no
Those shadows they drive me crazy
But don't let it get you down baby
Because I'll be around you

See all I want to do is shine - I'm doing it all the time
and so I'm hoping you don't mind - cuz I'm doing it all for you - doing it all for you -

Oh oh and shine - shine - shine - shine it baby.................... Baby won't you let it shine ....

I'm Sweatin through the nights babe

that there is no getting, no getting out of here - Break Out!
Rising steam surrounds the city man
He makes his way through this urban land
Yellow haze glows within its maze
as darkness takes another turn

Through his eyes she is set free
a prisoner of  - this plastic crowd
Escaping from reality,  they weave their fantasies

Lovers - Lovers
Desperate passions fill the air
Lovers - Lovers
Knowing of this fate they share
Neon lights cage the dirty street
Ten floors high in the summer heat
Venetian blind stripes her negligee
it brings out the animal

They make their moves in this pleasure game
taking chance on its joy or pain
Letting go they shed the night
knowing they can always find

Lovers - Lovers
Desperate passions fill the air
Lovers - Lovers
Knowing of this fate they share
Souls together
Souls as one
Trade the shadows
for the sun

When it goes down -
they go down
Where love is lost -
love is found
